An original production cel from the Walt Disney Studios film "Ferdinand the Bull" (1938). Featuring an adorable image of Ferdinand calmly sitting among the trees and flowers, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during production of the film. The image is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon. Measuring 16"x18" matted with the mat opening measuring 8.25"x9", and the character image itself measuring about 5"x3.75", the cel was originally prepared by the studio for sale at the Courvoisier Galleries and is in very good condition. The setup features traditional characteristics of a Courvoisier setup, including the cel being trimmed to image and applied to a custom painted, airbrushed background.
